I just got in my mounting base from Proclipusa.com, and with the beanbag dash mount I have, it wont fit properly. Is there some type of 12V cord available that directly plugs in?

Any help appreciated if anybody has installed these!

Yes, there is. Can't really recommend it, though, since the power pin on the iQue is very thin and fragile. I use the power pin only occasionally, when charging the iQue whilst it's not being in any use.

You have 2 solutions.
1. Get an inverter and use your AC power cord.
2. Go to Radio Shack or a Verizon store and get a car power cord for a Audiovox CDR-8900 cell phone. That's what I have and it's the same charger as the iQue.
OR...
you can buy the 12 Volt Charger from Garmin for $29.99--> here (http://shop.garmin.com/accessory.jsp?sku=010%2D10412%2D00)
Pls let us know whichever solution you go for :)

The cables suggested in the posts above use the same fragile pin Anders mentioned earlier in this thread. Many (fat fingered or not) members managed to break their pins.
The Palm™ Recharging USB HotSync® Cable (http://www.palmone.com/us/products/accessories/chargerscablescradles/) (click the link and scroll down to find it or search for the link's text) avoids that particular hazard by using the universal connector to provide power from USB ports or car cigarette lighters. It can be used to hotsync the PDA with the laptop, too.
On the downside this cable does not maintain secure contact. It works well enough on a desk. It falls off when used in a car.
I suspect none of this really helps, but I do remember that other members use "ProClip" whatevers successfully, usually in conjunction with the cradle taken from a Garmin bean bag, I think. So search for 'proclip'. Good luck.
Reinbeau, in case you read this, any hints?
is there some place where we can get just the 'craddle' part of the garmin's auto navigation kit? I searched the Garmin website accessories section but didn't find it there. They sell either the complete auto nav kit or the just the base part without the cradle.....but NOT the craddle seperately

This may not be extremely cost effective but you could probably use a combination of two things:
Get the Sync Cable with USB connection (http://shop.garmin.com/accessory.jsp?sku=010%2D10409%2D00) from Garmin..... and then use just the cigrate lighter part of the Palm™ Recharging USB HotSync® Cable (http://www.palmone.com/us/products/accessories/chargerscablescradles/P10884U.html)

Reinbeau, in case you read this, any hints? I use the cig charger from RadioShack with the Palm connector on it in hubby's truck; it connects well and doesn't fall off. I thought ProClip listed a complete kit, if I recall correctly it was $129, way too high! If you've already got the mount, then I'd go to RadioShack and look for the cig charger, it cost $19 when I bought it. I can't find it on their page, I actually went to the store and bought it off the shelf.
To Maxb - no, you can't buy just the charger/speaker, and that's a shame
