I have palm IIIc is there a way to transfer data using the IR capability on the Palm? How do you get my Dell laptop to send IR traffic to the palm??

yes. you can do an IR hotsync. just go to the HotSync app on your palm, tap the pulldown menu, and select IR sync. then just point and sync! you may need to download an IR patch from Microsoft.
