Is there any way to optimize the connection to make it transfer files faster?
Also every time my PDA connects to the PC via Active Sync, it asks me about the partnership. Is there any way to set a default value so that it never asks me again?
Thanks

Greetings;
Have you set up a partnership on your desktop? If so there is a problem with it and we can work on it. What os is your PDA running and what type/model? What window are you running on your desktop?

Hi
It's a Toshiba e330, Pocket PC 2002.
my desktop is Windows XP Pro SP-1.
I just want a permanent Guest Partnership (no syncing).
Thanks!

Greetings;
I don't think that that is available, I will look. I sort of have the same situation, I sync at work and connect as a guest at home.
Maybe there's a fix.

The real prob is that when I want to connect the PDA to the USB cradle, I get a stupid message that asks me to choose between syncing and guest.
I want to figure out a way to make this as silent as possible - meaning I go home, plop in the PDA - it just connects (to charge and just loads up Active Sync) and doesn't ask me anything.
I don't use Outlook, Internet Explorer, or anything that would require syncing on my PDA.
The USB connection is also slow for transferring files, what was it again - 1 MB/s bandwidth? It took a good 2 min to transfer a 10 MB MP3.

Create a partnership and just uncheck everything, this allows for the partnership to be permineant but nothing syncs.

Here's another question - i notice that it disconnects the PDA after a certain idle time .... is there a setting for this that would allow it to log on indefinitely?
