Anybody have any opinions on this?

4155 is smaller in terms of width AND thickness. It's lighter too.
Both feel plastic, but the RX3115 feels like more plastic and less sturdy.

I like the RX3115 cuz it's running Windows Mobile 2nd edition and the landscape feature.

With all things being equal, I would get RX3115 because HP will probably be supporting the newer model longer.

You should also take a look at the Dell Pdas coming out --

I'm starting to lean away from HP, as they aren't supporting the 4155 in terms of upgrading to WM2003SE, while Dell looks a bit more willing to do so...

I don't disagree with the previous points made, but I'm still extremely happy with day-to-day use of the 4155 after about a year of ownership.

I utilize both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi at different times, and having both built-in to a very compact device is great. The screen is very good, the whole unit feels solid. It really is small enough to slip into a pocket.

I totally agree with you... I have the 4150, and am completely satisfied with it as a product. I do believe, however, that HP should commit to supporting software upgrades for at least 12 months following the discontinuation of a product like a PDA...

Up until the WM2003SE came out, I was enthusiastically recommending the 4150 (and even purchased a few as gifts...).

No, HP and dell are not offering wm2003se upgrade for existing wm2003 models. At the present time, only Toshiba is offering wm2003se upgrade for 2 of it's model (the upgrade is free).

What am I missing here? Didn't the original Dell x30 come with WM2003 first edition?

Aren't they doing the upgrade?

Dell X30 already has WM2003 second edition. Actually it is the 1st wm2003se pocketpc when it came out. That upgrade is within wm2003se and adds wmp 10.
Again there is no upgrade from wm2003 to wm2003se from Hp or Dell.

Npitlor, emgarf, how do you like the wi-fi internet browsing capablity of the 4155?

Is it hard to setup? use? browse? any problems?

I have had zero problems setting up my WIFI at my home (after I trashed my ancient router and purchased a more recent model). I have also had no issues using it when on the road (I mostly stay at Hampton Inns, which all have free WIFI).

I started using using the IE browser that came with the unit, but after a while, realized it was a bit limited. I tested the one from Netfront, and am currently trying the one from Thunderhawk... I'll decide between the two soon.

My wife's PDA (Jornada 568) can't download more than about 10K worth of any web page on her IE... It freezes. Both of those browsers work for her. We never were able to figure out what was wrong. When I have the time, I'll try a hard reset.

Either way, browing is possible, and usually works very well.

Have you tried a browser from Opera?

I've heard one of the advantages of Windows Mobile 2nd edition was the option to view webpage in one column, so it could reorganize the website for better viewing. Although netfront and opera already have this option, IE just got it in the 2nd edition release of windows mobile 2003.

Just like Npitlor, no problems with setup or usage.
