I have an i-PAQ 2210 series PocketPC, and i use it all the time for my .MP3 player. HP has put a Bass Boost tool under the settings on my i-PAQ, but it doesn't do a very good job, and it makes the music all staticky when i have the Bass up.

Does anyone know of a better bass-boosting tool, or some kind of media-player that will give me a clean, good bass boost?

I have been using the Ipaq Audio "Bass Boost" setting, which has worked well. I get no static or other distortion from using it. For the most part it stays set, but occasionally it disables itself and must be reset.

I'm also using WinAmpaq, a freeware program with equalizer that uses Winamp skins.

Well, my Sony Walkman for example boosts the bass much better than the iPAQ bass setting. I noticed while using the Graphic Equalizer on Windows Media Player on my PC does add a bit of static. If you use SRS Wow effects you will notice almost immediatly, it gives a nice loud bass, and the quality will sound much better than raising the bass on the equalizer. I guess i'm looking for something that will make it sound more like i'm listening to my CD player,
