5450 W/Lan problem

Hi, new to this site, looks good. Now can anyone tell me in simple plain English what I need to to do get my 5450 and a w/lan connection going through to my works server. The device can see the w/lan but when I try to connect to the internet I get a essage " Unable to connect with current settings..." etc. I've looked at the HP site for guidance but the solutions offered bear no resemblance to the screen options in seetings and connections. FYI my W/Lan is a Linksys 54g.

I'm also trying to make a connection to the Internet via a Nokia 6600 - any clues ?

Make sure the Linksys wireless access point is running in either a mixed 802.11b/g mode or 802.11b only mode. You will not be able to connect if its in a 802.11g only mode.
