Hello. I am having a rare problem with the Ipaq FileStore: I can see some files there, but whenever I try to write to it (add, modify or delete files), the H1945 hangs and I have to soft reset.
The File Store is obviously corrupt, since a "properties" report 1319 Mb occupied, and a lot of rare files are displayed.
I have tryed to FORMAT, but the machine hangs again.
I don't want to hard-reset!
Is there any other way of formatting it ?
Any suggestions?

I've heard this problem before. Unfortunately, from what reported, hard reset will not fix the problem either. You need to call HP and send to unit back for them to reflash ROM. The turnaround time is very quick.

I think I can live without the FileStore, as long as the rest of the machine works OK (it seems to work OK).
The main problem I have is that I had my pocketMail configured so the attachments are stored in the FileStore (PMail/Tools/Storage/Save attachments in storage card).
If I try to uncheck that option, the machine seems to try to write something to the FileStore, and hangs.
Do you know of any mean of unchecking that option by modifying the registry? What is the name of the variable that sets the attachment storage in the FileStore, and what is the value to "uncheck" it ?
By the way...it is incredible that a problem like this cannot be solved with a kind of "reformat FileStore" utility!
Thank you very much.
