Resco Viewer - Update

This has not gone smoothly. The following email has been sent:-

Sir
I have downloaded the update (Resco Viewer for Palm OS 2.10) and received an "Unlock Code".

Question:-
When and where do I enter this Code ?

No request for this appears on the screen, when I ran the update only an instruction to "hotsync" appeared, which failed.

Also since that attempt to install it, my iQue 3600 will no longer perform any "hotsync" with the "Palm Desktop"..

Advice please

This update is a little tricky, since the new Resco Viewer OS5 can co-exist with the old resco Viewer on the iQue. But if you look them up, with the standard launcher, to delete the old, then they both go by the same name.

I think the smartest thing to do is to delete the old Resco Viewer first, then install the new one. When you then run the new one, you will be prompted to enter the new code when it starts. Chances are that you are actually still using the old Resco Viewer, if you didn't delete that first. Check with the About screen from the menu.

Regarding your Hotsync problem, I don't know what that has to do with Resco Viewer. Probably something, if it came in conjunction with that installation, but I didn't face any such problem.

You are quicker than Resco. It was not obvious that the old version needed deleting. It looked as if it was just an add on.

As to why desktop ceased to hot sync is not clear, however

ALL is now back to working order
