This was purchased in 2002 and remains a truly remarkable piece of hardware notwithstanding the dominance of Palm and Pocket PC devices. Whilst sadly it is no longer manufactured, Psion still offers some support and repalr service.
Although it is not a colour PDA it has an impressive battery life.
This model has the following specs:
· 36MHz ARM processor
· 16MB RAM
· Infrared & serial port connectivity
· EPOC 5 Operating system
· PSIWIN 2.3 software
· Mobile versions of Word, Sheet, Database,
· Email provision
· Voice recording
The package includes the following extras:
· Handbook
· Mains adapter
· Serial port connector
· CD of freeware/shareware programs/games/ebooks
· New Lithium backup battery
The PDA itself is in excellent condition with minor scratches on front insignia.
The Psion requires 2AA batteries.It is proposed to supply this item without these as it will reduce postage costs.
New models of the Psion 5mx are currently retailing at £229 without mains adapter.

Finally I also have an old Psion 5 which needs repairing. The ribbon cable has worn. The machine still connects to a PC so maybe capable of repair by any technologically minded or may do for parts. It is only gathering dust so I would like to see it working again. Therefore I would not require much money for this
other than postage costs.
