Does anyone have any suggestions on any application that will allow the new Act Sync-ability to by Blackberry 957?

Anybody ever answer you on thsi problem? I have the same problem in sync of ACT 6.0 to Blackberry 957.

Intellisync supposedly is working on something but will not be available until 1st Qtr 2003 sometime. In the meantime, I keep getting all these contacts that I am unable to enter into BB except manually! Waste of time!

Here is how I did it...

I purchased a program called doublelook, you will find it in the ACT add-ons section it was baout $45 US.

Lookkup runs all the time sync'in your outlook to your act 6.0 files.

when I sync my Rim 957 to outlook Lookup sync's to Act...

I know it is a real pain in the butt, but it works..

Intellisync my be working on something, but it will not work with your RIM 957. Only the next version of the RIM, the one with the phone because they can change the operasting system. THe new one will work with Java and can be upgraded to sync with ACT only.

Also:

I believe it will be licenced for 10 or 20 dolars US per month.

Wires-End is in the process of developing a product called Handheld Contact for ACT! and the BlackBerry to be released in the 1st Quarter of 2003. It will be compatible with ACT! 6.0 and 5.0/2000. Handheld Contact provides:

1. ACT! screens and functionality on the BlackBerry 58xx, 67xx models Here's a preview:
http://www.handheldcontact.com/content/screens_activity_list.asp

2. 2-Way wireless sync - stay connected to always up-to-date ACT! data across town or across the country. No cradle required for sync. EVER.

3. Download and install FREE software and be up and running in minutes. All you need is a computer with an internet connection.

4. Pricing will be a low monthly fee to be announced closer to the release date. (Similar to other BlackBerry add-on services)

Learn more at: http://www.handheldcontact.com

We are also accepting applications for Beta Testers. The application can be found at: http://www.handheldcontact.com/content/beta.asp

Thank You

I got another email from PUMA on their Intellisync saying their latest software version would allow you to sync the Blackberry with ACT Version 6.0

However, the cost is around $69.00 which seems excessive since I already could sync with the previous version to ACT 2000. So feel like I should be able to do that with an "update" to my existing software instead of the expensive "upgrade"!

Quite frankly, the syncing translators are pretty much unchaged from Desktop Manager version to version. As in, if there is ever a leak of the translator (from that service fee thing), or BlackBerry makes one, it should work with all models, so you could just copy the software module to the sync folder for BlackBerry. There are several intellisync translators not designed for BlackBerry which work with it, but are of course unsupported :)

Also I doubt they will ever "give" away such an update. I mean, would you ever expect to get a free upgrade from Windows 98 to XP just because you found that 98 no longer cuts it for your new software? Microsoft would laugh at you if you tried that arguement on them....

Will the current Intellisynch product synch the Blackberry and ACT 6.0? If so, I'll gladly pay the $69!

Intellisync says on their website that their newest version will sync. I have not bought it yet so can not confirm that it does actually work. If you buy and it does work, can you post a reply on this forum? Thanks
