3950 or 3970? Is bluetooth worth extra money. My cell sevice is Nextel and they say they have no plans for supporting it yet. Not many compatible divices out yet? So should I spend the extra cash to buy it now.

Nitestrike 11-13-2002, 02:46 PM If you are going to use it over some sort of mobile dial-up (over a cell phone), I would say go with the 3950. I use the 3975 and have a Bluetooth phone for the wireless carrier I work for so it works good for me. Other than that it's not worth it at this time, with the limited items that have Bluetooth. scottleadready2 11-15-2002, 01:51 AM It really depends on what you want out of your PDA. Blue tooth is great if you want to share data (i.e. contacts) with other Blue Tooth enabled devices. Also, they have blue tooth printers, LAN connections (you might setup at your desk) and most importantly mobile internet. Most of the new GSM/GPRS phones are coming web enabled and you will be able to basically route through the phone to establish an internet connection. Here's the breakdown. If you don't care about internet now and your trying to save the money, you can always purchase the expansion sleeve later and have the same functionality. If you want mobile i-net now, then buy it. Hope that helps. PDA Street
