HotSync "Poltergeist" in my Treo 600

hello, here's the latest "Joke' my treo invented

My treo is running Butler 2,2 & Pocket tunes, all the rest is plain
Vanilla

Last sunday we entered the "winter time" period, so we had to turn the "daylight saving" option OFF on Palm devices, (amazingly they do not turn it off automatically)..

I did it in the morning, then I answered a call and I went out of
home..

When I was away, far from home, I was surprised because i saw the HotSync page had come out...

After some seconds the HotSymc process aborted unsuccessfully (of corse), then the hotsync process started again by itself..and so on !!!

No way out, I even tried to soft reset the unit, but after some
seconds the hotsync page came out again...

I had to wait until back home, plug the hotsync cable, then the
hotsync run sauccessfully, and after this, no more sign of madness...

What had happened?, Does it have any relation with the time change? did something go between the contacts in the connector simulating a push of the hotsync button?

please clear this up, I would like to rely in this little troll when
I'm out for business...
