Ok, I got this software.....great, maybe too great. (deedoo, deedoo, overload, overload) I resorted to printing the entire instructions (102 pages of 8x11 paper). That is desperate!! Right.

Ok, I know it can do it, but I cannot not so if someone here has too much time on their hands please try and talk/write real slow and simple, cuz, I have spent a week on it AND read the manual.

I cannot get it so span my work day 24 hours, sometimes 36 or maybe even 48 hours at a time. No way! I can tell it to start at 0700 and the duration will be 23 hours and 55 minutes, but that is as close as I can get. I can have a start time of 0700 end time of 0700 and "span" but when I call up the calendar it does not show up that way. And what about the 36 hour shift or the 48 hour shift? hmmmmm? Anyone, anyone.....?

Paula;
I too printed the whole manual!!! Something is wrong with us. Please don't spend another week trying to figure this out. E-mail Pimlico - they will get back to you very quickly AND with simple instructions. Excellent support.
Good Luck.

Paula,

I found the following on page 76 of the Datebk4 manual that I also printed. I tried it for datebk5 & it worked fine, here is what it says:

"If the event lasts more than 24 hours, you will need to go into the Repeat dialog (from details) and mark the event as a daily repeat event, setting the "Event spans midnight" checkbox. Then set the start time to the starting time of the event on the start day and the ending time to the end time on the end day. If you change the time of an event spanning midnight in such a way as it might no longer span midnight, Datebk4 will ask you if the event is to span one or two days (example: your event starts at 1pm and ends at 10am -- you then change 10am to 3pm -- Datebk4 needs to know whether that 3pm is now 3pm on the same day or the next day.)"

Hope that this helps and have a good day,
Calvados
