synching 2 pda confusion

i had a zire 72 w/ loads of important information on it, and i had it all synched to my desktop. then, my mom broke the zire, so all i had was my desktop info. now i'm using my dad's tungsten T, and i want to synch my data from the zire's desktop stuff to the tungsten T. i've tried, and it just created a new user. what am i supposed to do? is this even possible?

All You have to do is
1.
Hard reset the Tungsten
2.
Sync it to the same username the Zire used to have.
