Zire 72 Special Edition

I apologize if this didn't turn out right, but this is only my second post. Are the specs. any different?

The only difference is that the 72s doesn't have the blue rubbery coating that peels off in about a month. It is just aluminum painted plastic. I think it's being released in Europe but not yet in the US. There's no other funtional difference and you can achieve the same look by just completing the spontaneous rubber peeling. You'll see the case then looks exactly the same as the 72s.

i like that one better lol. when the blue rubber gets peeled off,the silver is not as shiny as the one shown,i saw my friend's peel. mine still as good as new haha,taking care of it real good :P

I've seen the Special Edition being advertised in a small electronic store chain here in Canada. However, the one that I saw was being advertised with GPS software bundle and 64MB SD card at $599.99. A little pricy.

The paint on my Zire 72 peeled off badly--so much that people commented more on the peeling paint than on the unit itself. Using my fingernails and finger tips I peeled off all the paint on the unit. I think it looks much more professional with the silver look. Now the comments are about the unit again! It cracked me up when Palm sent me their announcement of their special edition silver Zire 72.
