Hello,

I am getting satellite radio for my truck and am curious about the antenna. I am looking at the Kenwood CX-SR40 (ant) and the Kenwood KTC-SR903 (tuner) to go with my KDC-X969 head.

The question I have is in regards to the antenna. The tuner can use a compatible single wire antenna and I already have a Gilsson external antenna for my iQue. Has anyone succesfully used the Gilsson antenna with the tuner described? Can some sort of splitter be used off of the Gilsson? My goal would be, if possible, to only have one exterior antenna and also save a bit of cash. Of course I would like to use the sat radio and iQue at the same time.

Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Ummmm, I don't have sirius, I have XM, but I don't think they are anywhere near compatible. Actually, I heard of situations where the signals interfere with each other. I should point out though, I have never had that problem, but then again, I don't have the two antennas anywhere near each other. My XM is on my trunklid, and my Ique is on my dash, or my external antenna is on my windshield. When we are in my wife's expedition, the antennas are at their closest. XM is on the roof above the windshield, and Ique antenna is on the windshield, as far front as possible. No interference there.
