Hi,
I'm looking at migrating from a Psion Revo to a Sony Clie SJ30, but I need to sync with my work NT4 PC. Does anyone know if Sony produce a serial hotsync cable (not USB) to make this possible.
Thanks,
Andy

If they do, it will cost you.

I was faced with the same problem for my S360 -- I needed a serial port connection rather than USB. Sony makes a cable but doesn't sell it as a separate item. It comes bundled with an extra A/C converter and the price is about double what I was prepared to pay. I found a different way to solve my problem but before I did, I was getting ready to use the documentation on the connector pin-outs and make my own.

Good luck.

Try this site - they have lots of cables including the one that you need.

I ordered a Clie serial hotsync cable from the website. It is still in transit, so I can't tell you how successful it has been yet !
(I live in the UK, so your shipping time should be significantly shorter)

I use the serial cable that I bought from the pcables.com for my Sj30 all the time. It works. :)

Kirillka.

Is that the $59.99 unit that's listed as a "modem cable" for the Clie SL/SJ/T/NR/NX series? Probably not, as you're referring to a serial cable.

Anyway...thanks for the tip to PC Cables, as they are currently the ONLY place I can locate that sells a serial DB9 modem cable for our units, which is definitely what I need for this particular and unusual application.

So thanks again.....
