Psiwin's synchronisation feature will only work if you connect via serial, however all is not lost.

Presumably your new laptop has a USB port or two? You can buy a USB-serial converter and carry on regardless. Be careful though - not all such converters implement the serial port in the recommended way. One that is known to work is the one sold be www.clove.co.uk (with whom I have no affiliation by the way!!).

Also, if your new laptop is using Win 2K or XP, you will need to use Psiwin 2.3.3, as no previous version supports these OSes.

Finally, make sure you download and install the two sync updates that are available at www.psion.com/myPsion
