I own a 2210 and had a 256 MB SD card in it. I replaced it with a 1 GB card. My IPAQ "remembers" it was a 256 and will not let me load any more than that on it. How do I reset the IPAQ to 1 GB?

Two things come to mind-

1-Soft reset
2-Re-format the SD card (try it first in your PPC, and if it doesn't work, try reformatting it in an SD card reader hooked up to your computer)

Let me be a little more specific. The storage card capacity on the IPAQ does read about 1 GB. However when I try to add any more information to the card I get a meassage that it is full.

Make sure the write protect switch on the card is not on. And try restarting the desktop or stop and restart Activesync.

I've even done a hard reset and formatted the SD card. Media Player shows I have plenty of free space but will only allow me to use 250 MB. Any idea's?? With this much room I'd like to use it to hold music.

Have you tried copying files through file explorer? Perhaps there's something with media player. You can also use usb card reader and copy files to sd card that way.

Given what you have said, I would suggest that you have a defective SD card. The only way to rule out the PDA as a culprit is to use an SD card reader connected directly to your computer. if you experience the same issue, chances are you have a bad SD card.

I have finnaly gotten past the issue. Media Player still reads only 250 MB but allows me to add as needed. Weird!
