T665c bright. adj. icon

I've had my Clie about 3 wks. Can't seem to get the *Brightness adj. Icon* to activate. Is there something I need to reset, adjust,etc.? Is there another way to access this feature so I can adjust contrast, backlight,etc. The alphabetic & numeric keyboards won't respond to stylus *tap*, but found I can access them thru menu. I really don't use the onscreen keybrds., so don't care much about those, but would like to be able to adjust the backlight.

First of all, I'd do a digitizer check (Prefs -> Digitizer) and make sure you've centered it properly. If you still cannot get the brightness slider to come up after tapping on the little icon on the lower left, try this:

Prefs -> Jog. Check the "Use jog assist" checkbox and then tap on Select additional menu. From there, you can choose three items to add to the menus. Select brightness and 2 others if you wish (like keyboard and backlight).

Now, from any application you can open the menu and brightness will be one of the selections.
