I'm getting ready to buy a SD card for my 3850 & can't find decent info as far as the memory limit. How large of a SD card can I get? I see Compaq only sells up to 128 meg, but the pricing on the Sandisk 256 looks pretty attractive at $110.00. I'm going to buy online & so don't want to have to return it if there's a problem with the size. Thanks!

I don't think there's a limit on the ipaq side, it can use whatever the maximum the sd manufacturer can produce. I've heard of people using 512m sd with no problem, and there's a 1 gig version coming. There are some reports of problem with sandisk card though, especially the 128m version. Lexar card has better responses from users.

I believe the 128M limit from compaq/hp is economic; it's until a 512M or 1G SD can be produced for about the same price as the 128 you won't see one there.
You can get a 512M SimpleTech SD for just under $400; wait a week or so (maybe a month or so), you'll see this price start to drop.

I appreciate the help. I broke down & got the SanDisk 256 MB card for $110 at TechDepot. Thanks again.

Good choice; it's one of the SD cards I am using.
