Just updated from a Visor to Zire 71; the feature I miss most is the "week at a glance" feature from Handspring's Datebook+. Pimlico shareware doesn't appear to have a Mac compatible version. Is there another "week at a glance" version out there somewhere that'll run on a Mac?

DateBk5 or DateBk+ never had a "Mac" version so I'm totaly confused about your question. DateBk just syncs with whatever conduit and desktop program you use. If it's the Mac Desktop, DateBk5 syncs exactly the same as DateBk+. The week view in the Mac Desktop will still work exactly the same. What exactly is the issue you're worried about?

Perhaps I've got this all wrong, but my understanding was that Pimlico licensed a datebook lite to Handspring which helped comprise Datebook+ (v3.5HZ), which had the week at a glance as well as other features. Palm's v4.5IP Datebook lacks this functionality and it does not appear that Pimlico's "weekview" shareware can be downloaded to a Mac for use on the Zire. I'm trying to find a way to get a week at a glance on my Palm.

I know of two choices of "week view" software for Palm, both available at Palmgear.com.
One is called MyWeek ($14.95). The other is WeeklyPlan ($14.00). I have tried both of them and they both do a good job. (Personally, I like MyWeek better, but see what you think.)
I use a Mac myself and have had no problems downloading these.

DateBk5 runs on a Zire 71 and has an enchanced weekview compared to DateBk+ on the Handspring. DateBk5 can be downloaded directly to a Mac. You can find instruction at http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/install.htm . You get a lot more for $24.95 using DateBk5 than you would using either of the two weekview programs. Pimlico's Weekview also come in zip format so I don't understand why you can't unzip the files using StuffIt and then install to yout Palm.

If you're looking for a good free replacement datebook program and don't need all the bells and whistles of DateBK5, you can get KSDatebook at www.freewarepalm.com that has a good weekview. Anything that comes in zip format you should be able to install using a Mac since you're only trying to get the files on your Palm, not install something that has to run on a Mac.
