I'm a new user with this new axim x30 and do not know how to download my music directly to the sd card because otherwise it would not take it since the main memory I already have almost full with programs. Thanks for your help. i know this is very basic for all of you but I looked up in my documentation without any luck.

Connect the pocketpc to the desktop via the cradle, make sure activesync starts, open file explorer on the desktop, browse to Mobile Device -- Storage Card folder, you may want create a My Documents folder on the storage card and then just copy and paste your music files to it normally. Or you can get a sd card reader and plug it in the desktop usb port and use desktop file explorer to copy the file there as well, it wil be faster to use card reader.

what about songs that have liscences? will this have to be addresses when moving the songs from the media player to an sd card then into your ppc?

The method above is applied to open format such as mp3 or ogg files and for people who convert their own cd to these digital format. You will need to deal with files with digital licensed such as WMA with DRM or files that were purchased from e-music stores according to the license. If it does not allow you to copy to unauthorized devices, then the method will not apply.

Yes, if the file is either mp3 format or wma format without digital license. You may want to create a MY Documents folder on the storagea card and put files in it.
