i the mako has an IR port. i just bought the lego mindstorms invention set and it has an ir port to downlopad the programs to the brick (you can buy an optional ir remote). is there a program that can communicate using the ir port if one specified the three number code for it to transmit on.

Epoc World (Symbian) has an IR OPX that you can tinker with. It is in the OPL OPX section - http://www.epocworld.com This will require 'Program' from Tucows http://www.epocsoftware.com

I do vaguely remember seeing a program that turns the Series 5 / 5MX into a TV remote control - seems like it was doing a search for EPOC and infrared...
