Does anyone out there, know or have any comments about Palm's policy with keeping drivers uptodate for new bluetooth phones. I contacted my phone supplier as I am looking to update and was advised that Palm are not keeping up with drivers for new phones, does this sound right. I was going to look at the new Motorola V3, but was told Palm don't have drivers and infact they are well behind with a lot of phones, if this is correct, it's not good service.

Look forward to comments

It is my opinion is that Palm intentionally holds back drivers because they want consumers to opt for their all in one phone/pda products.

Sometimes, drivers for other phones produced by the same manufacturer work with models not specifically listed in Phone Link. I don't have any Motorola phones, so I don't know which driver will work with your phone. You will have to try drivers on a trial and error basis.

I agree with Dwinget on this one. BT is a communication protocol and as such they don't change much from model to model of phone manufacturer. I've paired my T3 with Sony Erricson's successfully when they weren't listed....I think as long as a manufacturer is listed and you get close with the model number it's not a big issue.
