I’ll most likely be purchasing a new Axim on Friday and I was just wondering what the major difference is between the mid level Axim and the X50v? All I could see in the side by side comparison is the speed & VGA screen on the X50v. Is having the VGA screen worth the almost $100 price difference?

I bought the X50Low, not the 520 or the VGA model. My basis was:
-Don't need WiFi yet
-Software needs a while to catch up to VGA systems
-I wanted to come in at a low price point- I am converting from Palm OS and wanted to make sure I was satisfied....
Result: Had the unit for a week- could NOT be more satisfied. In about six months or so whenever Dell updates their hardware, I'll probably buy a VGA model. Conversion from Palm OS takes some patience and effort to understand, and I am learning as I go.
Bottom-line: My unit is rock solid, has NO screen/digitzer issues now apparently common with newer Palm offerings, and gets nothing but oohs & aahs in the Corporate environment.
Good luck.

The only other difference is the actual screen size, it's 3.7" on the vga model and 3.5" on the other. There's a comparison screen shot of pocket internet explorer of vga and qvga here:
