I am looking at clies on ebay and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the IR strength compares between the clies. Ive read the specs about some clies having "enhanced ir" but was wondering if anyone knew from experience? I was specifically looking at the n610c and the t615c (which has the "enhanced ir") and would like to get the 610 but i don't want to end up with ir strength like my visor deluxe. Any advice?
TIA:)

To the extent of my knowledge, enhanced simply means they have the ability to use remote commander software, used to turn on tvs, vcrs, etc. using the ir port, I don't really know if enhanced ir helps with the range on regular transmissions of data. Don't expect more than 10 feet at the most. Cheers

N series Clies have hopeless IR range, 3 foot if you're lucky. My old IIIx would control my stereo and label my minidiscs but my N770 can't do zip. The enhanced IR of the T series and later gives them a range of roughly 15 feet I believe.

Well, my nr70v gets almost 20ft using remote commander, I haven't tried omniremote, but I expect that to be better as well. Data functions I only get somewhere around 3-4ft. not good. I have only used it with IIIc handhelds though, may just be that. Cheers
