Have a new X50- don't know why I didn't switch from Palm a long time ago.
Question 1: I want to install programs to the flash memory in my device- but (drum roll for dumb question) don't know how. Installs go to RAM- what am I missing during installation that I need to do. (Install examples: SpashID, ListPro, Textmaker, Planmaker, etc.)
Question 2: Is there a way to move installed programs from RAM to flash memory (copy, paste?) or, as I suspect, I have to uninstall and then reinstall the apps with the process someone will describe for Question1, including reentering registration number.
Could not be more pleased with a handheld than I am with this unit. Thanks in advance for any responses.

1> If you install applications by running installer on the desktop, Open ActiveSync on desktop, click the Tools menu, and select "Add/Remove Programs", uncheck checkbox "Install Programs in the default application folder". Now during installation process, a dialog box will pop up, in the dialog box, uncheck "Install program into the default installation folder" if you want to install the application onto a memory card. Then choose the appropriate location from the next drop down menu.
If you use CAB file installer that install on Pocketpc itself, you need 3rd party utility

2> Copy and paste to storage card may work with some applications but can cause problem and confusion with registry file with others. You can uninstall and reinstall multiple applications via desktop Activesync in one step.

Thanks for the prompt response, but: (1) I should have properly said "built-in storage" available to the user (I have about 30Mb because I have installed nothing there). I only need to keep documents, music files, etc. on the SD card and won't be moving programs there. Does this change the answer you provided above? (2) Can I move programs from "main memory" RAM (freeing some more of the 64) to the internal storage on my X50?
-Or do they need to be removed and then reinstalled to built-in storage? Again, thanks in advance for any advice/guidance/ideas.

1> The same applies to "built-in storage", you will see it as another choice in addtion to storage card during installation process after you un-select "Install program into the default installation folder".
2> Again, you can, but it may not work with every application. It will work with some applications and it will not with others, you can try it out and see if it works, if not then uninstall and reinstall.
