Hot Sync Issue & Choosing Dates

Since 12/4/04 I am having problems hot sync my Zire 71. My notepad will download the headings but not the actual notes from my handheld.

Also when I enter anything on my to do list when I enter a date or deadline, the task disappears? It's not in the completed file or anywhere else to be found.

Any suggestions on how to correct this problem.

This sounds like a very strange set of circumstances. Did you install anything new on 12/04, either on your Palm or PC? That would be the most likely culprit. It could be garden variety corruption of the Palm OS and a soft reset may fix it. Next step would be to uninstall and then reinstall the Palm Desktop software.

Failing that, your next stop would be to move your backup folder to a temp folder, do a hard reset, and restore by hotsync. This will restore your PIM programs but not any other third party progams. If the Palm now syncs correctly, it will be a matter of installing your third party programs and data one by one until you find the offending program.
