Hi,

I'm getting the following Fatal Alert message "MemoryMgr.c, Line:3649,Nil Ptr" when trying to use a third party program. Can anyone tell me what it means? Its the only program I've loaded in since purchasing the TT, so memory capacity shouldn't be an issue. The program works fine on a Palm 515/OS 4.1. Does it mean the program is not compatible with OS 5 or does it mean I have a software conflict or possibly a corrupt file. Would anyone care to try the program to check and see if its just my TT? TIA

I would recommend contacting the author of the software and seeing if it is OS 5 compatible. My guess is that it is not. What is the program, by the way??

Thanks djmangen, The program is written for an Angel IR3 paintball marker. It allows the user to program the markers setting with a Palm via ir port. I hope they have a revision in the works. Its freeware. Do you think I could find someone to correct the program for a small fee?

If it uses the IR port, I think that odds that it may need to be rewritten for OS 5 are quite high.

Your best best for a rewrite is the author. He or she will have all the necessary source code, so they won't start from scratch. Anybody else who would come into the picture at this time would probably be quite expensive, if only because the market is somewhat limited. Unless, of course, you could find another fan of paintball who would take on the project for love of the sport.

Thanks again djmangen, I'll send another email to beg for a OS 5 compatible version.
