I've been looking at the Nokia 6260 smart phone. I'm wondering if anyone has had practical experience with this phone and what they think of it. Thanks for your time.

Hi,
Well. I've ever used the phone for a couple of days because my friend has a handphone shop. My first impression is that it was a brick. Until now i stil think its a brick. Its really large for a phone. And it isn't even 3G. I'd rec gettin the 7610, or the 6670 or 6630. Much better phone due to the better camera. The rest of the functions are the same, but the size for me, does it all. Anyway, have a merry Christmas. Cheers!

Can anyone tell me....is there anything the Nokia 6670 can do that the 6260 can't. I've just bought a 6260 but it's not to late to cancel the order. But if the 6260 has a few more features then I'll stick with it. But if they do the same thing then maybe the smaller 6670 might be a better phone. I don't mind the larger phone if it gives me more features but if it doesn't ...
And the 7210 ...when it says that it's dual mode, what does that mean. Is that both digital and analog? Thanks for your help.

Duncan,
Hi, from what I know there's no difference between 6260 and the 6670. Both can read msoffice's documents on them. But if I'm not mistaken, 6670 takes 1 meg pictures too. And as you rightly point out, it has a smaller form factor. I'd only go for the 6260 if i have a thing with clam shell phones. And regarding the 7210, can you be more specific about its dual mode? I only know of the phone's tri-band ability.

Dear T3gunner
I want to thank you for your input. I very nearly bought that 6260 but was able to cancel the order. Your right ...it was to big and not a good enough camera. I'm debating between the 6630 and the 3230 (and possible the 7710). As far as I can tell dual mode means it will work in both digital and analog modes which could be quite useful here in North America where alot of the system is still analog. But I'm not 100% sure what dual means. If anyone has more of a clue I'd love to hear from them. Thanks again.

Hi,
Well, its no problem at all. I've always found pdastreet's users to be all very helpful and knowledgeable regarding electronic devices. Hence we all help each other out regularly. ;) Between the 6630 and the 3230, I'd go for the 6630 if I've got the extra dough as its a very advanced phone. Even more than any of the series 60 phones. It supports broadband surfing which translates to 3G (if im not mistaken). Therefore if you need the highspeed connection then its the phone for you. It has a rather good camera too. And I especially liked its nice design. Rather macho-type of feel that it give. I'm not able to give you any details regarding the 7710 as I'm not quite sure whether its even available in Singapore. But after a quick scan from google, the 7710 seems like a beast of a phone to me. It has almost everthing a phone should have. You might wanna form the opinion youself. Alright. Hope it was helpful. Cheers.

This is a review for 6630. Seems pretty good to me: http://www.infosyncworld.com/reviews/n/5633.html
