Can a broken screen be repaired / replaced?

Argh! Bought one of those fancy Rhino skin hard shell cases to protect my iPaq, and damned if the thing didn't slide right out of the unit today, landing face down on the concrete. Sure enough, the screen is cracked. The unit still powers up, but the touch screen is worthless. Can this be repaired? Or am I screwed?
