Hi

I have tried several screen protectors lately and have had a very hard time with all of them due to air bubbles, etc.

Now, I am thinking of NOT using a screen protector, but just keeping it clean. Also, am trying see IF there is any stylus that is easy to hold, feels more substantial than what came with the X5
and is "screen friendly" (meaning not likely to scratch it even with lots of use.)

All input appreciated.

I have had pretty good luck with protectors. Got some from dell and some generic ones from Radio shack and not problems with bubbles. You have to put them on right. Start at one end and smooth out as you lay it down.

I have also used the clear page protectors most school supply places carry. Just cut it bigger than your screen and stick it between the case and screen. They tend to slide a little but is tolerable.

Everything that excentric said is good advice. However, I am leary of using anything that fits UNDER the case (space between case & screen), and I have used "glueless" protectors from newtonelectronics.com for several years (3 Palms and current X50) with good results. Very thin (no noticeable affect on digitizer responsiveness), easily removed, but- a challenge to put on straight, etc. Make sure you use a credit card to smooth out the air bubbles- some will remain, but, bottom line- screen is protected from normal use AND much of the other stuff that accidentally happens.
