Hi all, I have just got myself a new Tungsten T and wanted to know if when I install the desktop software will it over write the old desktop software from my palm V but keep all the information ive written in it? Im sure this happened when I upgraded form my palm pilot to the palm V but I cant remember?.
If not how would I go about storing the data to transfer onto the tungsten?
Cheers.

I can't say exactly about the Tungstun desktop software, I still have a Palm V, but I did upgrade my Palm V OS (3.1) to the latest (4.0), and the it was pretty clear that they wanted me to rename my current directory to something different (i.e. from palm to oldpam). I would think that would apply to the installation of the OS5 would be the same, but maybe someone that has already done the upgrade would have better insight?
If you are willing to wait, I'm planning to head back to the US and buy my Tungstun, then I can verify this information.:D

Yes, you can install the TT desktop SW. You will get the best result ever. I did that myself a few days ago when I got me a TT as well. I syncronized for the last time my m515, installed (overwrote) the current Palm Desktop app and syncronized the brand new TT. WONDERFUL!!! I was up and runnig right after... Good luck!
