Has anyone else noticed on the 7, 7book or netbook that when you slide the power button to switch your unit off, it comes on again immediately when you release the button?

This doesn't happen all the time and not at all when you use the old 5mx method of switching off using Fn+Esc. I assume that it is a dodgy connection on the switch but is it just my machine??

I sometimes get the same thing, but only if I slide the switch to the left then let go and let it spring back. If I pause for a fraction of a second before letting it go, it never comes back on by itself.

Like you say, I think its just the switch 'bouncing', and nothing more sinister.

Likewise, mine never comes back on as long as I do not let it spring back, i.e I keep my finger on the switch works every time, funnily enough I can not remember having ever used the switch to turn it on or off, always using ESC adn FN+ESC. (old habits die hard), I wonder why they even have the sliding switch?
