Can my wife save her lectures that are on-line?
Is done thru real player and it might be copy-righted but she does have authority to see them thru her concord law school verisign.
In the lecture on real player there is a feature to burn or tranfer the lecture
Also, another question, while the palm is charging there is nothing on the screen, how do we know when is fully charged?

Assuming she has the memory space, she should be able to use the RealOne convertor to convert a PC RealOne presentation to the Palm version. She will need an SD card to store the files since they are usually quite large.
The T|E doesn't have a charge light, unfortunately. The only way you know if it's charged is to check the battery indicator in the standard launcher.

My wife lectures are at the school site and to enter she has to verify her identity thru a verisign certificate.
Realplayer has a feature to copy lectures to palms, and I went thru the process of transfering the lecture to our T/E but it doesnt do it.
I believe the lectures have some copyright code to prevent it from transfering to the Palm.
Which I cannot understand when you have to go thru a few hoops just to listen to it -putting password, id number, verisign certificate, etc.
My wife school is Concord Law and I was wondering if anyone knows how to get around this?

I think you've hit a roadblock here. A Real Player presentation that's protected by Verisign relies on Windows based files to verify her rights to the presentation. It will do this everytime she starts up the presentation. There's no way I know of to run a Verisign protected presentation in the Palm version Real Player since the presentation won't find the files it needs to do the verification check. The only option would be having some way to remove the Verisign protection. You can try Google to see if there's a way to do that but Verisign is pretty hard to get around.

I wonder if I can thru a microphone record and save it as a file, then transfer it to the palm.
I have audacity which is a mp3 editor and I know there is a feature that records but I dont have a clue on how is done and once is done what to do next.
has anyone gone that route?

But I used the audacity software and click record. I was able to record it as a file (very large 2.5 mb for a few mins.) and as a mp3.
Anyone familiar doing this kind of recording from the microphone , then converting it to a file and transfering to the Palm?
I have to learn how to make it a better quality and making the file smaller.

how much smaller do you need it???
I'd say 9MB to be big, thats aslong as you have a big memory card (SD or MMC)
The better the quality the larger the file and visa versa.
