I was just wondering if anyone had any news re what's happen with future EPOC/netBook development at Teklogix? There hasn't even been a good rumour for a while . . .

I would recommend giving them a breather. Let's be realistic, they clearly aren't resourced in the way WE would like, and they've just released the new OS with support for the Option GPRS card etc.

I have just (with their help) got that to work and it is *fantastic*

I would like to see Opera start doing colours better again but that ain't them.

I keep looking (gadget hound that I am) for a better device, but the netbook really is fab as it is.

I doubt Bluetooth will happen. 802.11 is possible which to my mind is much more useful. It still remains the only thing of it's kind that is a true ALTERNATIVE to a "proper" computer, and in fact, despite the problems with PsiWin it syncs reasonably well with Outlook etc.

Proper Powerpoint support, and longer battery life (I know it is very good already) would be the main things on my list. NConvert does pretty much everything else one needs.

The best thing would be for them to concentrate on selling it well enough such that at least it lives for a while. Otherwise let's pray the price falls somehow so we can all buy cheap spare machines

I doubt we should, mate. As a product manager myself, the last thing I expect from anyone is to be given a break from any of the products that I'm responsible for. I imagine that Teklogix are no exception to this either.

I do respect where you are coming from, though :o)
