I am looking for a good atlas application; I am not interested in GPS or looking up street addresses but rather a general purpose world atlas, e.g., I want to see a map of the six countries that were affected by the recent tsunami ... anybody have any experience with any atlas or encyclopedia applications, preferably color and OS 5 capable, even better full-screen.
Thanks,

You might want to look at the CIA World Factbook. I actually compiled a free version for Plucker. Here are some links:

The newly released Worldwyse might be worth a look.

has a nice version of the CIA World Factbook. Costs a little dough but it sure is nice.

Thanks for the suggestions; both the CIA Factbook and WorldWyse+ products are the types of applications in which I have interest. They both appear to fit the bill.
