Since you ahve the same situation, let me ask. My 515 came with pocket mirror. This helped in the initial setup. Does Tungsten come with this software or can I use mine that came with my 515 or more importantly, will I need it? I use DateBook5, if that matters. I never did figure out documents to go. It would not seem to accept any type of document. Hopefully the Tungsten will be easier. I sure hope it takes my medical stuff as I use it most shifts. Have you made a smooth transition? I don't know if mine will be too smooth as I am still learning my way around and am changing one pda for another before I have learned my first.

First, the main difference in the TT and the 515 is the hardware and a few minor software updates.

Second, you need to use Pocket Mirror ONLY if you are syncing with Microsoft Outlook instead of the Palm desktop software. If you are not using Outlook (not Outlook Express that comes free with most computers, but the full version of Outlook) you do not need Pocket Mirror. If you have already installed it you will need to reinstall the Palm desktop software and select "return conduits to Palm" or wording to that effect during the install process. The purpose of Pocket Mirror is to make the connection from the Palm handheld to Outlook and thefore not necessary if you are using Palm desktop.

Datebk5 uses categories (menu, options, appt. categories) to help organize your calendar, for example one category for home and another for work. You can also create "views" so at work you only see work events and home only home events. Palm desktop does not recognize categories for the calendar. If you want to view calendar events by category on your desktop you will need to use Outlook. (Outlook has other advantages too but is a complicated program and unless you need to use it, I'd recommend sticking with the Palm desktop until you are more familiar with the Palm.)

Fouth, you need Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to effectively use Documents to Go. It serves as a conduit to sync word and excel files to you handheld. Click on the Help option in the desktop Documents to Go, then select "reninstall handheld applications". After syncing the handheld apps, click Add Item on the desktop and select a word or excel file to add. From then on when you sync any changes made on either the handheld or the desktop will be updated.

Let me know if you have other questions.
