Just a post to warn you on the use of CF Cards on the 7Book. This might come as a surprise: not all of them work!!

I've tried the following cards:

IBM Microdrive 1 Gb : didn't work
Transcend 128 Mb (increased speed, 45x) : didn't work
Sandisk 128 Mb : worked!
Sandisk 32 Mb : worked!

I'm particularly disappointed my Microdrive didn't work.

I thought it might be a good idea to start this thread to get an updated compatibility list for CF cards. The ones I found are outdated.

Anyone know of methods to test CF cards for netBook/7Book compatibility?

Don't know if you have already seen it but this thread (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=50181) may be of interest re Compact Flash cards.

The 1Gb Microdrive does work (I have been using one for years) - but only in the CF drawer! It won't work in the PCMCIA slot, even using the official adapter. This is apparently due to the power requirements of the Microdrive not being met in the PCMCIA slot.

OK, that's what I've been reading everywhere. Could be that my Microdrive doesn't work.

And yes I'm trying it in the CF card drawer. Could it have something to do with formatting? Anyone?
