Not very familiar yet with OS 5x, and found something that's not very intuitive to me. I set a test task for today with an alarm to go off, in say, 10 minutes, and the alarm screen shows "5 days earlier" on it (with the 5 being changeable), even tho it has no recurrence and it does go off properly. Anybody have an explanation (or a web page :) that describes what that "X days earlier" means and how it works? Thanks!

That's odd. I don't have that problem, but I have heard of issues of the date book reminder system messing up when you've got an event in early january, and set the alarm so early that it has to go off in december. Maybe it has something to do with that?

"X days earlier" tells the Palm when to activate the alarm. If the due date of a task is Jan 14 and you want the alarm to remind on Jan 12, you would write in 2 where the 5 is (since Jan 12 is two days earlier). If you want the alarm to go off the same day as the due date of the task you would write 0.
In your case the due date is today, so the "5 days earlier" option is ignored. On the Set Alarm screen you will see a box with Next Alarm and the date of the next alarm. It should be today's date.
