I recently purchased a Dell Axim x50v. I bought a program that needs the Embedded Visual Basic Runtime installed. I installed it from Microsoft's site for Windows Mobile 2003 and the program now runs, but the graphics are jumbled.

Does anyone know if there is a difference with the x50v where the stand eVB install will not work as it does with the Axim x30?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

The major different is that x50v has VGA screen (640X480) resolution and x30 has QVGA (320X240) resolution. Without knowing what this program is, i can suggest you contact the developer and ask if the program is compatible with VGA screen.

Thanks. I guess I didn't think about that...duh!

I was thinking that it needed a different version of the eVB...but that's probably not the case!

There's a registry tweak program that has option to force program to be VGA awared, I don't know how well it works with this program.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. But thanks, it was worth the try!!

For those that may read this, the program I bought was the Tetris Game Pak by Handmark. 5 games work...unfortunately, Super Solitaire (SSS) (which is 4 of the 9 games included) does not. There is nothing on the packaging that says it doesn't work in VGA.

I will be contacting the company to find out if they have a resolution and will post to the site if I find anything.
