I have a Clie T665c. I'm quite pleased with it apart from being unable to get it to sync with Microsoft Outlook. I've installed the Palm desktop and the intellisync software yet when I try to configure Intellisync to 'see' Outloook it tells me 'No profiles available - you may have to re-configure folder selections in Outlook'. I can't get any further with this. Anyone got any ideas? Yours gratefully:)

I haven't actually done this, but I'll take a couple of shots...

- Do you have Outlook on your computer already? The Palm Desktop software CD does not come with it.

- If you do have Outlook, can you run it and check your calendar, inbox, etc.? (without any syncing with the Clie)

- If the above are true, when you first installed your Palm Desktop, did it say that it found a copy of Outlook and which do you want to sync with - Outlook or Palm Desktop?

You must reinstall the Palm desktop, and indicate you are using Outlook. But first, restart your computer, so the outlook folder is activated and waiting to be discovered.
I used the Intellisync Lite for a while, then bought PocketMirror, which does _IMHO- a better job.

Thanks for your support and suggestions. Still no success I'm afraid. The PDA syncs directly to the Palm desktop even though setup is instructed to sync with Outlook and Intellisync lite is installed.:confused:

Another shot in the dark...

Is Hotsync running in the background? In the system tray, lower right corner of the taskbar, is the blue-and-red Hotsync visible before you try to sync? If so, it's possible that you have both Hotsync and Intellisync installed, but Hotsync overrides the Intellisync so you always end up syncing with Palm Desktop. If the Hotsync is in the system tray, try exiting it first with right-click -> exit and see if you can now sync with Outlook.

Spent 1hr on the phone to Sony Clie support in Florida. Couldn't fix the problem. Clie still syncs to Palm desktop and won't configure to Outlook. They suggested I reinstall Outlook. This being done the situation remains the same. Looks like I may have to put up with it.:( Thanks for the suggestions.
