Serious problem with data on sd card

I have a HP iPAQ rx3100 series PDA, when I attempted to download something to it via the Internet everything started out find. But then in the middle of the download the Web browser screen vanished. When I went to the directory where it should of been downloaded not only was the file in question not there but none of my other files were there either. I went to the memory setting and checked how much space was left on the disk. Come to find out there's still information on the disk but no way to access it. Please help me save the situation.:)

Are you downloading from the PDA or the PC? I never did it from the PDA before. Might want to get yourself a card reader and see if you can see it. But before that do a soft-reset w/the card in there.

I have tried resetting and has for a card reader when I connected my pocket PC to my computer I can access the files directly but that may not be completely accurate I don't know. Please if you know anything of something I'm desperate for the information on that memory card. PLEASE HELP!

I just found out something else, on my sd card there is a file named "ignore_my _documents" if anyone knows what this means please help.

I have had this problem a few times... your card hates you.

The way to fix it is to buy a card reader and continually insert and reinsert the card over and over untill your computer sees files. Copy and paste to your comp and pray.

Then format and add files to the card see if it works normally agian.

This only works if you havent written ANYTHING to the card after the incident.

Worked for me on 2 SD cards and 2 CF cards.
