This Blog (http://tamspalm.blogspot.com/2005/01/true-palmone-e2-leaked-at-fcc.html) gets credit for capturing the FCC photos of a Tungsten E2 device.

I think that based upon the blog and the pictures.......P1 is in the coffin and the dirt is getting thrown on top. :p

So maybe the move by Garmin to the M5 wasn't such a bad thing? :D

Time to move this forum out of "palm general discussion." I definitely see the end of garmin/palm.

There is no need to move anything. The 3600 is still here, still viable, and will continue to be.

Forgive my ignorance ... can you explain what the significance is here? Not sure I understand what you're leading me toward concluding.

I think the blog writer is arriving at the conclusion that Palm OS6 is nowhere to be found, or greatly delayed. The chain of reasoning behind this is not made clear in the blog.

That P1 is probably going to release an E replacement that the only fundamental difference is 18 bit color and Bluetooth.

BT should have been on the original E considering it was a Tungsten and the Zire 72 should not necessarily have had it.

No other changes to the case or apparent hardware.

We should have seen an OS6 device being "checked" by the FCC before you bring out a model made in China....which is not HTC.

If this E2 does not have the new NVFS.....

It's wake time.

Actually the only current Palm I'm interested in is the Treo 650. When Sony was still in the game, their stuff was at least intriguing. The Tungstens are just too blah.

What's happening with Tapwave? Are they still alive?
