USB port

I bought a USB Port hub today and tried to hook up my Palm 500 to it. When I try to Hotsync it doesn't do anything. Do I need some type of special connector to go into the USB Port?

No, you should not need any special adaptor. However:

1. Are you certain that the hub is working? Have you tried other devices in the hub, and are they recognized and functioning? When you plugged in the hub, did Windows go through the "detected new hardware" routine?

2. Is the hub powered? Some hubs have an AC adaptor that provides power to the hub and assists, while others do not. I have no idea if the Palm cradles require this, but they may.

I'd like to thank you for your help with my problem with my hub. After several hours of trying everything, including your ideas, it finally just decided to start working. I have no idea what I did that changed anything, but it is working.
