Thanks T3gunner 01-14-2005, 08:59 AM Hi, I've tried using Energy Dimmer but it doesn't seem to significantly reduce the brightness on the screen. If you just want to have a longer battery life you might want to use Lightspeed. Its a over and underclocking software. You'd have to proceed with caution though. Over overclocking it may fry your device and no warranty can cover that. I havent heard of any drastic effects of underclocking though. But it does save battery life. The T3 has a built-in screen brightness function; tap the time display in the middle of the status bar at the bottom of the screen and then adjust the brightness slider in the pop-up window. I had a Tungsten E and used SilkDimmer and it reduced the backlight completely but it does not seem to work on the T3. Thanks for your help. fnagle 01-14-2005, 11:24 AM Originally posted by T3gunner Hi, I've tried using Energy Dimmer but it doesn't seem to significantly reduce the brightness on the screen. I've been using it and am surprised it isn't working for you... Once you enable it and then activate it, set the parameters for the different profiles, mine dims the screen significantly. I have 3 different profiles with varying degress of brightness - that then dim to "0" after a period of inactivity. fnagle T3gunner 01-15-2005, 12:36 AM Hi fnagle, Yeah. The Energy Dimmer doesnt seem to significantly reduce the brightness of the screen for me. I've set the main brightnes on the bottom of the screen to the lowest and after I installed ED and tried to lower it further it doesn't really impress me.
