Hi, i've recently dug out my 3630 and decided to make use of it. I've not used it for about a year so could do with some recommendation on things to install/buy.

I currently have PPC2002 and have installed the gigabar.

I have a serial cradle which is awfully slow.

I have a stowaway keyboard. This plugs into where the cradle normally goes. Is it possible to run the cradle and a keyboard at the same time? Perhaps some sort of splitter? I'm pretty sure it isn't which i a downer.

Hardware -

Is it recommended to get a USB cable? The serial one is really slow at times.

How about extra memory? What's the cheapest way? CF jacket and CF card? i'd ideally like 100+/- mb to play with.

Dust
I've got some dust behind the screen which is becoming more prominent recently. Is it possible to remove it anyway? I think it has one of those hexagon screws so i'd need to try and get hold of the srewdrivers from somewhere. Is it safe to open it up?

I also have a PCMCIA NIC from my laptop. Is there any way this can run on my Ipaq? I'd like to see some networking facilities with my Ipaq somehow.

Can you advise on any software/hardware or anything that's also recommended?

Thanks for your time in reading/answering this.

:)

Terry

The USB cable will be way faster...get one, they're cheap.

Check out the model# 249708-B21 on compaq.com It's an expansion pack that will let you use your pcm card and CF memory.

I've ordered the USB cable and also a USB extension lead (not sure if they'll work though).

I'd like to get some kind of memory addition but hey we'll see.
