T637, Cingular & Hp Hx 4700 Uugghh

I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME use this Sony Ericcson T637 as a modem to get on line with my HX 4700 with CINGULAR. Had NO trouble with ATT. Even Cingular Tech depart says ATT software is superior.
If ANYONE out there has figured out a way, please LET ME KNOW.
