Transmit data/voice/video over wireless netwk

Hi,

Currently is it possible to transmit data like documents/voice/video over a wireless LAN network using PDA?
How abt. a wired network?
If a voice msg was recorded on the PDA, how could it be transmitted to another person, like a handphone voicemail?
Does it get stored in a database first or get directly sent to the other person?
